For the northern expansion of the Breitelen Strangen industrial area, the project was planned entirely digitally from the very beginning. BIT Ingenieure AG, Villingen-Schwenningen office, consistently relied on BBSoft® throughout the project.
Challenge
Even before the first excavator arrived on site, a detailed digital model had already been created.
From the start, the entire project was planned fully digitally – with BBSoft® as the central tool for terrain modelling, traffic areas and utility networks.
This was never just about “a road”, but about a holistic transport concept.
Everything was planned within one continuous digital model: connected, precise and compliant with standards.

A bus arrives, and it immediately becomes clear whether the planning works. Is there enough space for entering and leaving? Are bus stops accessible without barriers? Is the pedestrian crossing safe? Bus bays and turning facilities may appear inconspicuous, but they are essential for practical day-to-day usability.

The challenge lies in complying with different regulations and standards such as RASt06, EAÖ2013 and ÖNORM. With BBSoft®, geometries, swept path analyses, crossings and safety clearances can be combined in a way that is both compliant with standards and practical in real-world use.
