District Heating Planning
We support planning offices and municipalities in the complete network design process – from pipeline routing with expansion elements and fixed points to longitudinal sections and database integration for location and alignment data – in compliance with the guidelines of AGFW – The Energy Efficiency Association for Heating, Cooling, and CHP.

District heating planning with automatic pipeline generation, an extensive fittings library, and supply and return line visualization in the location plan.
Expansion Elements
Expansion elements, fixed points, and welding joints in district heating networks are planned – with flexible start and end stations as well as U-bend integration in CAD.
Longitudinal Section & Location Plan
Longitudinal sections include intersecting pipelines, slope interpolation, and trench widths in the location plan – with parallel branches and turning points represented graphically.

CAD-based design of district heating networks to support the requirements of the Heat Planning Act in force since 2024 – for large cities (>100,000 inhabitants) and municipalities (<100,000 inhabitants).
- Pipelines are generated automatically from 2D and 3D polylines
- Visual support is provided for placing pipelines, fittings, and expansion elements, including length and angle information in CAD
- An extensive fittings library is available
- Supply and return lines, as well as trench widths, are displayed in the location plan
- Stationing in the location plan is supported
- Custom workflow templates are available for project-specific planning processes
- A database with location and alignment data is provided for all network elements

- Elevation interpolation is applied when inserting nodes
