Software for Construction Billing in Civil Engineering
Functions at a Glance
Construction Billing
The BBSoft® software for construction billing captures surfaces, lines, and points directly from the CAD location plan and converts them into accounting objects. Quantity control, deviation display, and automatic transfer to AVA programs ensure a fast and transparent billing process – compliant with REB-VB for all civil engineering construction work items.

- Direct conversion and mapping of 2D and 3D survey points
- Automatically detect and calculate areas
- Output coordinate lists at the push of a button
- Import terrain data directly from the field book
- Conveniently filter, edit, and check survey points
The BBSoft® module for construction billing enables the graphical determination of quantities directly from CAD projects – including lengths, surfaces, numbers of items, and volumes for all construction work items. The bill of quantities is imported via GAEB DA81–DA86 and transferred to AVA programs via the DA11 data interface.
- Billing of CAD projects – surfaces, lines, and point objects are captured directly in CAD
- The bill of quantities is imported via REB DA81–DA86 (GAEB) and ÖNORM 2063
- Measurement data is automatically transferred to AVA programs via the DA11 and X31 data interfaces
- Objects are selected by surface, polyline, point, or layer and converted directly into accounting objects
- A clear, structured editor enables drag-and-drop assignment in the construction work editor
- A base library with symbols and accounting types is provided and can be extended with user-defined entries
- Parameters such as 2D/3D surfaces, lengths, barycentres, and coordinates are generated automatically
- Accounting objects can be modified at any time – including type assignment and renaming via BBSoft® element commands
- Deviations are displayed after data capture – differences are highlighted in red
- A warning is issued if units do not match between drawing objects and bill of quantities items
Cross-profiles are captured automatically with integrated billing in accordance with REB-VB or ÖNORM – directly from cross-profiles available graphically in CAD. Surfaces are converted automatically, horizons and contour points are recorded, and all billing data is output as a report.
- A conversion table is defined, followed by the capture of drawn cross-profiles
- All surfaces are converted automatically, and contour points and horizons are generated
- All horizons and cross-profile components are clearly listed in the editor
- Bill of quantities items are assigned via drag-and-drop
- Various filter functions are available for organizing horizons
- Plan frames are generated automatically
- Profiles are labeled with surface lists, contour point lists, project names, and editor data
- An automatic print function sends all profiles to the plotter
- Profiles can be saved individually as PDF files and shared
- Difference data is exported in REB DA11, GAEB X31, and ÖNORM B2114 formats
Conduit trench billing with BBSoft® – trench volumes are calculated from CAD polygons, independent of reaches or manholes. Layers are assigned with material and color, output as 3D solids, and documented using longitudinal sections and cross-profiles. Integrates directly with sewer design.
- Trench volumes are calculated from standard CAD polygons – independent of reaches or manholes
- Individual layers within the conduit trench are output as 3D solids
- Layers are assigned with thickness, material, and color
- Trench walls are created as 3D surfaces
- Trench bottom elevation and trench depth can be modified at any time
- An overview of conduit trench sections and total quantities is generated
- Cross-profiles are generated for user-defined stations
- Longitudinal sections of the conduit trench are created
Measurement billing with BBSoft® – fast capture of surfaces, lines, and points from the CAD system with direct quantity control and transfer to AVA programs. All accounting objects can be edited at any time, and processed CAD elements are highlighted in color to prevent errors.
- Measurement billing – fast capture of surfaces, lines, and point objects directly in CAD
- Automatic quantity control – deviations are displayed directly in CAD after data capture
- Processed CAD elements are highlighted in color to ensure reliable error prevention
- Unit checks and validation routines detect and report inconsistent units
- Data comparison with the client is provided via REB DA11 and GAEB X31 difference data files
- Parameters such as name, 2D/3D surfaces, lengths, segment dimensions, barycentres, and coordinates are generated automatically
Mass calculation between boundary lines in accordance with REB-VB 21.013 – based on imported DA66 files. Visual horizons are displayed as colored boundary lines, while cut and fill surfaces are automatically detected and documented. Cross-profiles are delivered by road planning, and the digital terrain model enables DTM-based quantity survey.
- Billing based on excavation profiles in accordance with REB-VB 21.013 – using DA66 files
- Visual horizons are displayed as colored boundary lines
- Layer definitions are derived from horizon names and identifiers
- Cut and fill surfaces are detected automatically
- All polygon points are output with x and y coordinates
- Reports are generated for excavation and fill surfaces
- Station-based listings are provided with names and identifiers
Software for standards-compliant sewer engineering billing in accordance with DIN EN 1610: BBSoft® calculates pipe extrusion, trench width, embedment and conduit trench backfilling directly from CAD reach data. The complete sewer billing is integrated into the sewer design module and provides quantity reports for all sewer construction projects in the DACH region.
- Pipe extrusion is calculated
- Trench width is calculated
- Embedment and conduit trench are calculated
- Conduit trench width is calculated
- Slopes in sewer construction are considered
- Conduit trench backfilling is calculated
- Base slab excavation is calculated
- Conduit trench excavation is calculated
Mass calculation in civil engineering based on cross-profiles, digital terrain model comparison, and conduit trenches – BBSoft® links quantity survey software with the planning process: road planning provides cross-profiles for earthwork quantity survey, the digital terrain model enables DTM-based quantity survey and sewer design integrates conduit trench billing in accordance with DIN EN 1610. All results are output as transparent reports – suitable for civil engineering projects of any scale.
