How can the complete infrastructure of a high-tech facility be planned efficiently and consistently? IB Spieth achieved exactly that with BBSoft®: across a project area of approximately 10 hectares, the entire infrastructure was planned and modelled.

In a high-tech facility, underground utilities, traffic areas and retention systems must interact precisely. This is exactly where planning becomes complex.
Not just individual utility lines, but the complete infrastructure of an entire facility.

Large dimensions, high complexity
Stormwater sewers with nominal diameters up to DN 1800, sanitary water pipelines up to DN 500, and a fire water ring main approximately 1.5 km long extending across the entire facility site. At this scale, utility lines, systems and surfaces must be brought together within one integrated model.

IB Spieth planned the complete infrastructure consistently with BBSoft®, from sewer planning through to the modelling of individual utility systems.
This avoids isolated planning stages and instead creates a structured planning process in which all disciplines are brought together.

From initial route planning to calculation
Before a facility of this scale can be built, utility routes, dimensions and connection points must be digitally traceable. Utility lines are preliminarily routed, sewer and utility systems are calculated and individual utility systems are modelled.
This transforms many individual infrastructure components into one transparent overall model.
